Description:

You can’t turn on the news today without hearing about AI. Artificial intelligence (AI) is everywhere. It’s not only on the news; it’s in every classroom, every home, and every business. 

 

This workshop will explore not only the what of AI but how teachers can be intentional in adding AI to their existing general education lessons using computer science and AI. Educators will have the opportunity to explore not only AI as a learning tool for themselves, but will work in collaborative groups to integrate AI (and meet the Indiana K-8 CS Academic standards) through AI using computer science. 

 

By the end of the workshop, teachers will have a strong understanding of how AI integrates into the Indiana CS standards, how to adequately bring dedicated AI content to their students, and be part of a strong collaborative of like-minded educators.

Event Cancellation Policy

NIESC Cancellation Policy

Registrants who notify NIESC of their cancellation on or before the registration deadline date will not be required to pay the registration fee.

  • Registrants who cancel after the registration deadline but one week before the workshop date or call to cancel on the day of the workshop, will pay 50% of the registration fee.
  • Registrants who neglect to call or notify NIESC of their cancellation will be responsible for paying the full registration fee.
  • On official school corporation weather-related cancellation days, registrants will not be required to pay registration fees
