Designed for all K-8 Indiana school educators teaching across all subjects, the Integrating Computer Science professional development workshop is designed to equip teachers with the knowledge and instructional strategies to integrate computer science into existing coursework.
The workshop will provide an intro to computer science, pedagogy, overview of the online curriculum, teacher dashboard, and strategies for teaching “unplugged” classroom activities.
The day will consist of learning, engaging with your peers with meaningful discussion, and gaining strategies to implement in the classroom.

Having worked in the industry, the classroom and at non-profits, Jenna has a unique understanding of Nextech’s mission as well as how to best tailor opportunities for Indiana’s educators looking to bring computer science to their students and schools. Each of the 9 Indiana Educational Service Centers will host participants ready to engage with a live/virtual presenter, collaborate within the room, share with other ESC groups across the state.
This event is open and free to all Indiana educators. ESC membership is not required.
Registrants who notify NIESC of their cancellation on or before the registration deadline date will not be required to pay the registration fee.
