Description:

THREE OPTIONS AVAILABLE

Question writing is a crucial component when educators want to get to the depth intended of the standards being taught, but few have had the opportunity to focus on putting the assessment writing pieces together cohesively. This session will answer the questions below and provide many examples and resources to put the new information into practice. The session is designed to support ALL educators, with a special emphasis on ILEARN testing.

  • How can the format of assessment questions impact Depth of Knowledge (DOK)?
  • What are the many question formats on ILEARN and other standardized tests?
  • Where are the best resources for standards-aligned question writing?
  • What are common assessment words? How do word choices impact Depth of Knowledge (DOK)?

Participants have 2 options for participation:

  1. Join the live Zoom on January 17, 2023, from 9:30 am – 11:30 am EST for $85.
  2. Receive a recording on January 18, 2023, of the Zoom meeting listed above for $150.
  3. Live (In Person) at NIESC on January 23, 2023, in Mishawaka from 9:00 am – noon EST for $150

Join Dr. Michelle Grewe to address the questions above and more.

Target Audience:

ALL educators play a part in supporting good questioning practices. This session provides something for everyone, with an emphasis on teachers of ILEARN-assessed grade levels. Perfect for academic leaders like Instructional Coaches, Curriculum Directors, and Principals who provide ongoing support for teachers.
