Executive Director Notes

I have recently become a certified CPI Trainer.

What is CPI? Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) equips corporations and individuals with training and resources on prevention and de-escalating difficult behaviors and situations. The training provides individuals with skills to safely recognize and respond to crisis situations that occur everyday in our schools.

If your corporation or school is interested in me providing CPI training or you have questions about CPI, please contact me at dharman@niesc.k12.in.us.

NIESC, through the ESC of I has provided members with even more ways to save money by developing partnerships with a wide variety of organizations to support the needs of our members. The value of the partnerships includes savings in both purchasing cost and employee time, which equates to even greater cost savings. Our partnerships are vetted by our ESC team for quality, service, and return on investment.  With nearly 60 agreements, there is something to fit most every need. Scot & Bobbi Croner

Scot Croner is the Superintendent at Wa-Nee Community Schools. He has been with the corporation for 6 years.

In the last year, Scot and his staff have utilized their “Plan on a Page” to guide and direct their overarching goals. Ultimately, they would like to be among the highest performing school systems in each of their overarching goals.

As they achieve their corporation goals, Scot hopes to work with the board, staff, and community to help develop new and more challenging areas for Wa-Nee to improve. All of these goals and improvements will help them to have a greater positive impact on students and community.

There are many things that Scot finds rewarding about his position. However, working with the dedicated staff at Wa-Nee and the students are at the top of his list.

In his spare time, Scot loves being a parent. He and his wife, Bobbi, have three children ages 11, 9, and 7. He enjoys working with each one of them and their friends in their activities, which include basketball, baseball/softball, football, wrestling, 4-H (pigs & dairy feeder), and robotics.
