Member Spotlight

Kandi Tinkey

Kandi Tinkey is the Business Manager/Treasurer at Plymouth Community School Corporation. She has been with the corporation for 27 ½ years and will be retiring in December of this year.

Over the course of her career at Plymouth, Kandi has worked on many different projects. This year, she put a lot of work into reconfiguring pay raises for classified staff to honor longevity in their jobs. Kandi has found completing projects to be one of the rewarding parts of her position. Some other aspects that she has enjoyed have been maintaining a balanced budget and learning the different philosophies of others.

We asked Kandi where she would like to see Plymouth Community Schools in the future. She answered, “For the corporation to be a place where children and parents from all walks of life want to be and want to celebrate successes, both big and small.”

In her spare time, Kandi enjoys spending time with her family including five grandchildren. Together they attend many sporting and other events. They also enjoy playing cards, board games, and having many “laugh so hard until you cry” moments. She also enjoys knitting, reading, and glamping.

Everyone at NIESC would like to wish Kandi all the best in her retirement! With Plymouth as our LEA, Kandi has put many hours into assisting NIESC and we are so appreciative for all the help she has given us over the years. She will be missed!
