STEM-Forward's main emphasis is on strengthening current pedagogy with research based best practices by providing professional development that focuses on STEM pedagogy, inquiry-based learning, STEM leadership, and standards alignment that includes collaboration and reflection.
STEM Implementation & Instructional Excellence
- Promote Integrated STEM Standards and implementation best practices.
- Provide HQCM exemplars (High-Quality Instructional Materials) and implementation deep dives.
- Differentiate instruction using HQCM to support students at, above, and below grade level.
- Translate standards into actionable classroom and leadership practices.
- Align curriculum both vertically and horizontally.
Professional Development & Leadership
- Train Indiana educators on STEM integration via professional learning opportunities.
- Apply adult learning theory to all professional development and ongoing support.
- Coach leaders on providing instructional feedback and sustaining curriculum alignment.
- Anchor content in evidence-based research with full citations and resources.
Community & Equity
- Support underserved populations through targeted instructional strategies.
- Build local capacity by fostering sustainable community and business partnerships.

Tier 1
Cost: $5,000 for members
- 1 day of in-person, collaborative professional development focused on strengthening best practices in integrated STEM
- 1 day of onsite small group or individual classroom support
- 1 whole group virtual zoom sessions (participants should be on individual devices)
- Bi-Weekly office hours to support STEM leadership and teachers
- Grade-level course content for professional learning to be implemented by district STEM leaders
Tier 2
Cost: $10,000 for members
- 2 day of in-person, collaborative professional development focused on strengthening best practices in integrated STEM
- 2 day of onsite small group or individual classroom support
- 2 whole group virtual zoom sessions (participants should be on individual devices)
- Bi-Weekly office hours to support STEM leadership and teachers
- Grade-level course content for professional learning to be implemented by district STEM leaders

Cost: $15,000 for members
- 3 day of in-person, collaborative professional development focused on strengthening best practices in integrated STEM

- 2 whole group virtual zoom sessions (participants should be on individual devices)
- 2 small group virtual zoom sessions
- Guide the development of a STEM leadership team and support the strategic planning of STEM integration
- Weekly office hours to support STEM leadership and teachers
- 1 personalized planning session to assess the need in the district and scheduled needs assesements to guide future workshop sessions
- Grade-level course content for professional learning to be implemented by district STEM leaders
Tier 4
Cost: $20,000 for members
- 4 day of in-person, collaborative professional development focused on strengthening best practices in integrated STEM
- 4 day of onsite small group or individual classroom support
- 2 whole group virtual zoom sessions (participants should be on individual devices)
- 3 small group virtual zoom sessions
- Guide the development of a STEM leadership team and support the strategic planning of STEM integration
- Weekly office hours to support STEM leadership and teachers
