Description:

This session is created for those serving multilingual learners, with a focus on roles serving in leadership capacities.  This session consists of four key components: 1) strategies for serving multilingual learners, 2) data analysis, 3) curriculum audit and analysis, and 4) defining a roadmap for success.  Dr. Flores will lead participants through a variety of topics culminating in developing actionable next steps to serve multilingual learners. 

Presenter BIO

~Dr. Charity Flores is owner and lead consultant for Flores Consulting Group. She served the Indiana Department of Education for thirteen years, most recently as Chief Academic Officer. Her experience includes standards development, assessment and implementation, and service to diverse student populations. She collaborates with teams to support leadership conversations and planning to implement initiatives with fidelity.

NIESC Cancellation Policy

Registrants who notify NIESC of their cancellation on or before the registration deadline date will not be required to pay the registration fee.

  • Registrants who cancel after the registration deadline but one week before the workshop date or call to cancel on the day of the workshop, will pay 50% of the registration fee.
  • Registrants who neglect to call or notify NIESC of their cancellation will be responsible for paying the full registration fee.
  • On official school corporation weather-related cancellation days, registrants will not be required to pay registration fees
